Fiesoli Biscotto Stone Round
Fiesoli refractory terracotta slabs are handcrafted from a blend of six fine clays and are certified food-safe. The unique composition of our refractory terracotta allows for the production of very thin slabs, retaining the benefits of cooking on a biscuit base while significantly reducing heating time, resulting in substantial energy savings. They are ideal for baking bread, desserts, pan pizzas, shell pizzas, and especially authentic Neapolitan pizza, which requires high baking temperatures.
The terracotta stone is of the alluvial type from Tuscany. The drying process occurs naturally, followed by firing in a wood-fired kiln and/or a mechanical kiln powered by liquid gas. Our pieces may sometimes exhibit signs of flames, chipping, surface cracks, or other anomalies. These are characteristic features of a natural, handcrafted product.
